As the year 2015 comes to a close, I can’t help but get a little misty and nostalgic. I’ll be the first to admit it, 2015 started out pretty rough. Things were not going my way around this time in 2014, and it definitely bled into 2015. But I kept on pushing and, while things aren’t even close to perfect, they are definitely getting better.
As the past few months have gone by, I kept trying to figure out what was making me so much more hopeful for the future, and finally it clicked.
I can see the potential from my current situation.
So many times before I was always in a patch of my life where things were going okay, I never saw any potential for growth or advancement. I didn’t realize until lately how much that truly made me shut down.
So outside of an expression of gratitude for fortune beginning to swing in my favor, this post serves as a challenge to anyone who reads it.
Do you see potential in your current life situation? Are you in a dead end job, or do you see potential for advancement? Are you growing as a person? Are you learning anything new?
If you feel comfortable, please leave your answers in the comments below, if you don’t then keep them to yourselves. The truly important part is that if the answer to any or all of those questions above were a no, then change it.
Make 2016 bigger and better than you ever thought possible!
Stick to your guns, start that business, finish that novel, move to L.A. and try to become an actor. I don’t care what you do, just keep on pushing and make the life that you want to have. I didn’t realize how much happiness that could bring into someones life until I started doing it myself.
So with that last word, Happy New Year everyone and try not to cause too much trouble tonight!
